As summer nears, families often want to take advantage of the extra time and get their children a little extra help. Act Today awards grants up to $5,000 with priority given to families with household income less than $100,000. Funding may be used for ABA, speech therapy, occupational therapy, medication, and home safety devices. There are quarterly grant deadlines.

First Hand Foundation
First Hand Foundation provides funding for children with health-related needs to cover surgery, medication, therapies, medical equipment, and travel related to care.
The Gracie Pridmore Foundation:
The Gracie Pridmore Foundation provides funding opportunities for PT, OT, Speech, Chelation, and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. We also help provide needed equipment and assist families in finding respite care, and other needed services.
Joni And Friends/Christian Fund for the Disabled (CFD)
Joni and Friends offers a one-time grant to qualifying individuals in cooperation with (i.e., endorsed by) churches or Christian organizations.
Learning Aid Ohio
Learning Aid Ohio offer supplemental learning services to students with IEPs during this unique school year. Their goal is to bridge the gap by creating opportunities for students to achieve their goals despite the challenges of remote learning. In partnership with the governor’s office, the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities is funding up to $1,500 per family per quarter to help subsidize the cost of any chosen learning providers.
Lindsey Foundation
Lindsey Foundation offers more information about debt relief grants, child disability grants, government grant programs, special needs children, and children disability equipment and treatments.
MCCD - Midwest Council for Children with Disabilities
The Midwest Council for Children with Disabilities was founded in 1997 by a group of small business owners to provide financial assistance to children challenged physically, developmentally or cognitively. MCCD provides families of these children the means to pursue medical treatments and therapies that are not covered by health insurance.
Maggie Welby Foundation
Maggie Welby Foundation offers grants for children and families in need of help with bills, athletic opportunities, medical needs, or other opportunities.
Medicaid Waivers
Medicaid Waivers help provide services to people with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, and Autism. Benefits vary by state.
Modest Needs
Modest Needs provides short-term financial assistance to individuals and families in temporary crisis, such as homelessness, needing automobile repairs, unable to pay bills due to unemployment, etc.
MyGOAL
MyGOAL Inc is a need-based grant for treatments, enrichment, and educational needs that may not otherwise be covered privately or by other third-party funding sources such as school districts, county programs, insurance, and/or other grant-making entities.

Autism Cares Foundation
Autism Cares website offers a direct link to the registration process for a Financial Support Award. This collaborative agency offers funding to families across the United States who are living with Autism and also coping with a major crisis, such as flood or fire. Autism Cares assists families who meet the eligibility criteria to cover costs associated with housing, automobile repair, insurance premiums, medical care, prescriptions, daycare, funeral expenses, and other items on a case-by-case basis. Income cap of $40,000 per family.
Autism Now
Autism Now details information regarding State Assisted Programs for Supplemental Security Income (SSI). Visit their site to find more details about what programs are offered for your state.
Autism Scholarship
Autism Speaks
Autism Speaks offers a list of family grant opportunities available through various organizations. They also offer a technology grant program and will select 15 individuals with ASD to receive an Apple iPad. Applications for devices are due in March; however, other grant opportunities year round.

Blooming with Autism
Blooming with Autism provides iPads to individuals with Autism that cannot afford them, as well as coverage for therapies. $60,000 annual income cap and grants for $2,000 for therapy.
